TRANSPORT FOR WALES
PUBLIC EXHIBITION ON PROPOSED ROLLING STOCK DEPOT GARTH WORKS INDUSTRIAL ESTATE
Transport for Wales is currently preparing proposals for the development of a rolling stock depot on land at the Garth Works Industrial Estate in Taffs Well that will be subject to a forthcoming planning application. The proposed scheme is required in connection with the development of the South Wales Metro Phase 2, focusing specifically on the Core Valley Lines. Transport for Wales is seeking to redevelop the site as a rolling stock depot (‘Taffs Well Depot’) for use by the successful Operator and Development Partner of the South Wales Metro currently being procured as part of the Wales and Borders Rail Service.
The Public Exhibition will take place at Taffs Well Ex-Service and Social Club on
24 January 2018, 12:00 – 19:00.
It will provide you with the opportunity to meet representatives of Transport for Wales and Mott MacDonald to get further information and discuss the plans. Everyone is welcome to attend the event, review the proposed scheme and give their feedback.
